Nigel Farage has spent thirty years telling us he speaks for the people. Every so often the people get to answer back. He gave up a seat rather than face a suspension over five million pounds nobody had declared, then asked for the same seat again. This one is for anyone who thinks a man's future is properly a matter for everybody else to decide.
The shirt is a Bella and Canvas 3001, which is the blank people mean when they say a t-shirt should feel like a proper t-shirt. It's 100% combed and ring-spun cotton at 4.2 oz, light enough for August and substantial enough to hold its shape. Combed cotton has the short fibres taken out before spinning, which is why it feels smooth rather than fuzzy and why it still does after a year of washing. It's pre-shrunk, so the size you order is the size you keep. Side seams stop it twisting in the wash. Shoulder-to-shoulder taping stops the neck going soft.

What does Making Plans for Nigel mean?
It borrows the title of the 1979 XTC single about a young man whose future is being arranged for him by everybody except himself. The joke is that Nigel Farage has spent his career insisting he speaks for the people, and at a by-election the people finally get to decide what his plans are.
