Sizing Chart
Everything we sell is printed to order on the same unisex blank, so one chart covers the lot. Measure a shirt you already own and like, compare it to the table, and order accordingly. That is more reliable than guessing from your usual high street size, because those vary by shop and by decade.
How to measure
All measurements below are of the garment laid flat, not of your body. To compare, lay a t-shirt you own flat on a table and smooth out the creases.
- Length is taken from the highest point of the shoulder seam straight down to the bottom hem.
- Width is taken straight across the chest, one inch below where the sleeve meets the body.
Add roughly 5 cm to your flat chest width if you want a relaxed fit, or keep it close for a fitted look.
Unisex t-shirt
Bella and Canvas 3001. Regular fit, true to size, not cropped or oversized.
| Size | Length (cm) | Width (cm) | Length (in) | Width (in) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 69 | 42 | 27 | 16 ½ |
| S | 71 | 46 | 28 | 18 |
| M | 74 | 51 | 29 | 20 |
| L | 76 | 56 | 30 | 22 |
| XL | 79 | 61 | 31 | 24 |
| 2XL | 81 | 66 | 32 | 26 |
| 3XL | 84 | 71 | 33 | 28 |
Not every design is stocked in every size. The sizes available for a given shirt are the ones shown in the dropdown on that product page.
Which size should I order?
- Between two sizes? Size up. The 3001 is a regular fit and a size up reads as relaxed rather than baggy.
- Prefer a fitted look? Stay with your measured size, or size down if your flat chest width is at the very bottom of a range.
- Buying for someone else? Their usual t-shirt size is the safest bet, and a size up is the safer error.
- Tall? Length grows about 2.5 cm per size, so sizing up buys you a little more body length as well as width.
Fabric and fit
100% combed and ring-spun cotton at 142 g/m², pre-shrunk, with side seams and shoulder-to-shoulder taping so it holds its shape. Heather colours contain some polyester. The cut is straight rather than tapered, and it sits the same on everyone, which is the point of a unisex blank.
Because the fabric is pre-shrunk, it will not drop a size in the wash if you follow the care notes below.
Looking after it
- Machine wash cold, inside out.
- Tumble dry low, or hang to dry.
- Do not iron directly on the print.
- No bleach, no dry cleaning.
The design is printed straight into the fabric rather than pressed on top, so it stays soft and will not crack or peel. Washing it inside out keeps it sharp for years.
If it does not fit
